Seeking Field and Harvest Crew Members

Full Time:

35-40 hours per week, Tuesday-Friday, with every other Saturday at the Moscow Farmers Market. Duration: May through October.

This position is focused on field work and harvest on an organic vegetable, flower, and egg farm. We are a 7 acre farm, and grow diversified crops and laying hens for the Moscow Farmers Market, a Community Supported Agriculture group, Farm Store, and Wholesale accounts. This position requires every other Saturday to work retail selling at our stand at the farmers market in Moscow. (Days off for time away can be discussed during interview. )This crew member must enjoy working in a fast paced and physically demanding environment. The work is 100% outdoors, all day, rain or shine. We are a small but mighty crew who love being in nature, and work together respectfully. We communicate with kindness and positivity. This is the culture that we aim to cultivate at the farm, and so a positive attitude and ability to take direction is a must! The work is physical, but it also requires problem solving, attention to detail and a good attitude. Hourly compensation is dependent on experience, and a working interview is required. Included with hourly pay is unlimited produce and a dozen eggs per week. 

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to learn more about sustainable agriculture, egg, vegetable and flower production, managing a small business, and this season- building some small farm infrastructure. Most of the tasks will include transplanting, weeding, harvesting, bouquet making, livestock feeding and egg washing, in addition to sales.

Part Time: 10-15 hours per week, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings May-October

Do you like weeding? Being outside all day, half days, during spring summer and fall mornings? This is the job for you! We are hiring a member for our hand weeding crew to work half days Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7.30-12.30. It’s possible we can shift this to one full day per week, with the possibility of more hours if you’re interested. This job may also include strawberry harvest, egg collection and washing, and various other veg and flower farming tasks as needed. Weeding requires you to be in a sustained bent position, unless you are stand up hoeing, so you must be physically capable of this manual labor.
